Volunteer Spotlight
Brian Whalen is a senior at Gwynedd-Mercy College and an Executive Board Member at Crusade for Care. He has been an instrumental part of Crusade for Care since it was founded in 2006. Along with the Student Government Association at Gwynedd-Mercy, Brian has organized the Laughs for Lives comedy fundraisers for the last four years.
His grandmother, who was diagnosed with stomach cancer, continues to be his inspiration. Brian saw how much his grandmother appreciated the angel bear and prayer booklet that she received from the Pastoral Care team at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Since then, Brian has been inspired to spread these simple actions of care.
